Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing, (AMCON) is a constitute college of the Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) which was established in 2007 and offers B.Sc. Nursing. AMCON is situated in the campus of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute, Enathur, Kanchipuram. The institution has multifaceted facilities such as 951 bedded Multispecialty parent hospital, well equipped laboratories, library & so on.
About Our Alumni Assoiciation!
The alumni association achiwves these objective by staging an annual programme of events reunions through workshops, conferences, seminars, inviting them as special guests for events helped in AMCON, by supporting student scholarships and others fund raising initiatives.
- To keep a restore of all alumni of AMCON and their pertinent data.
- Maintaining the updated and current information of all Alumni.
- To guide and assist alumni who have recently completed their courses of study at AMCON to keep them engaged in productive pursuits useful to the society.
There is an increase in the prevalence of type 1 diabetes also, but main cause of diabetic epidemic is type2 diabetes mellitus, which accounts for more than 90 percent of all diabetes cases.
Lifestyle modification, structured education and self management monitoring the efficiency of diabetics control has improved with the introduction of better techniques.

Recent advancements in Management of Diabetic Mellitus and Providing Nursing Care.
Alumni attended the Meeting.
The program started at 11.00 am with Tamilthai vazhthu.Ms.Bhuvaneshwari, M.Sc.(N),AMCON ,welcomed the gathering . Prof. Fabiola . M .Dhanaraj ,Principal , AMCON ,unfolded the theme “Recent advancements in Management of Diabetic Mellitus and Providing Nursing Care”. Ms. T.Arokia Mary Caroline (Alumni ) presented on “Medications in the Pipeline for Diabetes”. Followed by Mr. V.Prabhu (Alumni ) explained about “Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) – Nurses Role”. Followed by Mr. D. Rajkumar (Alumni ) presented on “Needle-Free revolution in Diabetes”. After the Lunch Break the /scientific session continued with Ms. G. Kowsalya Vasantha Kumari (Alumni) Presentation on “Automated treatment with an artificial pancreas”.
Mr. R.Sakthivel (Alumni) presented on “Stem cell therapy in Curing Diabetes”. Mr. S.Narendran (Alumni) Presentation on “Nurses Role in self management of Diabetes”. Mementos and Certificates were distributed to the Alumni by Principal AMCON. Mrs. .A. Jayasree, Tutor ,AMCON ,Presented the statistics of Alumni since 2012 . Office bearers are selected by the Alumni Committee .
Alumni members enthusiastically contributed the purse money . Mrs. .R. Uma, Asst .Prof. AMCON delivered the Vote of Thanks . Total 82 Alumni joined the programme. The Program ended with National Anthem at 4.00 pm
