Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute in collaboration with The Bridge Vellore set a new record in the Jetlee Book of Records for the “ Maximum number of students to stand in kidney shape with ‘Prevention to Detection’ to create awareness on World Kidney Day 2020”.

Faculty of Occupational Therapy (FOT)
The Faculty of Occupational Therapy, MAHER on the other hand conducted a world record event on 10th January, 2023 during which 92 students recited slogans about empowerment of persons who are differently abled (Divyangjan) for 6 hours continuously in several languages including Tamil, English, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Arabic , French, Chinese , Italian and Korean and marked its entry into the Lincoln Book of World Records

Ms. Priyadharshini. from B.Com (General), FHS, MAHER created a new record in yoga by staying in Mermaid pose for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The adjudicator for the program was Mr. Vivek R. Nair, Official Senior Adjudicator of Asia Book of Records and Indian Book of Records. The audiences were thrilled by her performance. Thiru. A.N. Radhakrishnan, Chancellor, MAHER, Mrs. Jayanthi Radhakrishnan, Rector, MAHER, Prof. Dr. R.S.Neelankandan, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. C. Krithika, Registrar and other staff members congratulated the student for her achievement. Different news channels covered the entire program.

Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy (FYST)
The Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy set a new record in the Noble World Records on the eve of India’s 75th Independence Day, Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (Deemed To Be University) organised a virtual event in which 3157 participants of various ages from around the world performed Anuloma Viloma Pranayama for seven minutes and fifty seven seconds to raise awareness of the health benefits of pranayama, particularly in the context of the Covid – 19 global pandemic.
The Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy set another world record in the Noble World Records by organizing a virtual event on the eve of Ratha Sapthami 2022, in which 1735 participants of various age groups from all over the World participated and performed 108 Surya Namaskars (Sun Salutation) for creating the awareness on benefits of total health and well-being.
The Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy created a new world record in the Noble World Records by organizing a virtual mega event jointly with Narchinthanai vatam (NCV) & Rotary Club of Chennai Harmony on the occasion of 500th day NCV free online yoga session where 8056 participants of various age groups across the world participated and performed Bhujangasana for 50 seconds for creating awareness on health and well-being in the context of the covid-19 situation.
Yet another world record set by The Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy is the Nobel World Records that was organized by the Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research. 2294 participants attempted Virbhadrasana for 90 seconds continuously which was considered as a new record and registered in the Nobel Record Registry, Record No. NWR2021/143.
