In observance of World Suicide Prevention Day 2024, the Internal Complaints Committee of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences – MAHER organized a comprehensive awareness program. On September 11, 2024, students engaged in a live webinar hosted by the Directorate General of Health Services (Dte. GHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Dr. B. Durga, Vice Principal (Admin), FAHS, delivered a crucial presentation on suicide prevention. The event also featured a poster/art marking competition on the theme ” Breaking the silence -connecting the Hearts Saving lives” for first-year Allied Health Sciences students. The winners are recognized and appreciated for their creative contributions in raising awareness about suicide prevention. Approximately 200 students enthusiastically participated in this important program, reflecting our collective commitment to mental health and support.
