World Health Day 2025 Celebration at Meenakshi College of Pharmacy

On April 9, 2025, the Cultural and Social awareness committee of Meenakshi Faculty of Pharmacy, Thandalam, celebrated World Health Day with the theme “Healthy Beginnings and Hopeful Futures.” Prof. Dr. K.K. Rajasekhar, the resource person, delivered an insightful address emphasizing the importance of maternal and new-born health as a foundation for thriving families and communities. The session highlighted critical aspects such as safe pregnancies, skilled childbirth practices, postnatal care, and maternal mental health. Prof. Dr. K.K Rajasekhar also discussed global challenges, including preventable maternal and neonatal deaths, and urged for collective action to strengthen healthcare systems and ensure equitable access to quality care. The event inspired attendees to contribute toward building healthier generations and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to global health priorities.
