Seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights – Protecting Creativity and Innovation”

The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell of the Faculty of Occupational Therapy, MAHER, organized an enriching seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights – Protecting Creativity and Innovation” on 24th April 2025 at the MAHER Auditorium.

The event commenced with an inauguration and a warm welcome address by Prof. Deepa Sundareswaran, Principal of the Faculty of Occupational Therapy. The highlight of the seminar was an insightful session delivered by Mr. Jeffry Andrew, Assistant Professor at the School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. Mr. Andrew emphasized the critical role of Intellectual Property Rights in safeguarding creativity, original ideas, and innovations in today’s dynamic world.

The seminar saw enthusiastic participation from undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as faculty members. It sparked meaningful discussions and significantly deepened the understanding of IPR among attendees, making it a truly valuable academic experience.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Karthigayan D., Tutor and IPR Coordinator of the Faculty of Occupational Therapy.
