The Meenakshi Faculty of Pharmacy, under Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER), organized a Code of Conduct Awareness Program on 29th May 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Lecture Hall, Thandalam campus. The program was designed to reinforce awareness among students regarding institutional discipline, academic integrity, and examination guidelines.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Mr. S. Pugazhendhi, Associate Professor, who set the context for the program and emphasized its relevance in upholding a culture of responsibility and respect within the institution.
The Principal of Meenakshi Faculty of Pharmacy delivered an insightful address highlighting the importance of adhering to the university’s rules and regulations. She spoke about the general code of conduct expected from students, including appropriate behavior with peers, adherence to the dress code, punctuality, and respectful interaction with faculty members. She also provided a comprehensive overview of examination regulations, covering key aspects such as identification requirements, reporting time, prohibited items, and the serious consequences of engaging in malpractice.
Following the Principal’s address, Prof. K. K. Rajasekaran elaborated on specific guidelines to be observed during both theory and practical examinations. He emphasized the need for honesty, diligence, and discipline in academic assessments and discussed procedural matters such as the correct handling of answer booklets, use of authorized materials, attendance norms, and expected conduct during practical sessions in laboratories.
In addition to examination-related policies, the program also addressed the importance of maintaining healthy interpersonal and collegial relationships within the academic environment. Students were encouraged to foster a culture of empathy, cooperation, and inclusivity, while avoiding any form of discrimination, bullying, or disrespect.
The session concluded with an engaging interactive Q&A, during which students sought clarifications and shared their suggestions. The event served as a timely and impactful reminder of the responsibilities that come with being a member of the academic community and highlighted the collective role in maintaining a respectful and disciplined campus culture.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. V. Yamuna, Lecturer, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, who expressed gratitude to the speakers, faculty, and students for their active participation in making the program a success.
