Faculty of Allied Health Sciences Conducts Two-Day Statistics Workshop

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS), MAHER, organized a two-day statistics workshop for third-year Allied Health Sciences students on 17th and 18th June 2025. The event was coordinated by the Research Committee of FAHS with the objective of strengthening students’ foundational understanding of statistical applications in healthcare research.

Dr. Suvaithenamudhan, Assistant Professor – Research, Central Research Laboratory, MAHER, served as the resource person for the workshop. Through interactive sessions, he introduced students to key statistical concepts, tools, and techniques essential for academic research and evidence-based practice.

A total of 46 students actively participated and benefited from the sessions, gaining practical insights into the role of statistics in health sciences and its relevance in clinical research and data interpretation.

The workshop was well received and marked a valuable step toward enhancing research readiness among FAHS students.
