In observance of World Hepatitis Day 2025, the Department of Microbiology, in collaboration with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee (IPCC), organized a Health Awareness Program, followed by Hepatitis B Antibody Titre Screening for all healthcare workers.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the impact of hepatitis and the importance of prevention through timely vaccination and regular screening. Speakers emphasized the risks faced by healthcare professionals and the significance of maintaining immunity to ensure both personal and patient safety.
The screening initiative helped identify antibody levels among the staff, promoting early intervention and protection against Hepatitis B. Such programs play a vital role in fostering a culture of preventive healthcare and improving public health outcomes.
