The Student Induction Program (SIP) for the newly admitted B. Pharm students of the 2025–2026 batch was conducted from 20th to 26th August 2025 at Meenakshi College of Pharmacy. The week-long program was designed to orient students to academic life, professional expectations, and personal development, while fostering a strong sense of belonging to the institution.
The inauguration commenced with registration followed by the orientation address delivered by Thiru. S. Dharmalingam, Inspector of Police, Sriperumbudur, who encouraged the students to pursue their studies with discipline and dedication.
The program featured a series of expert sessions by eminent resource persons, including Prof. Dr. D. Chamundeeswari, Dr. Anitha (Deputy Registrar – Admin, MAHER), Dr. Burmice (Associate Dean – Student Welfare, MAHER), Prof. Dr. K.K. Rajasekar, Prof. Dr. L. Karpagavalli, Dr. Ponmurugan (Dean – Doctoral Studies, MAHER), Mr. Sri Jayaram (Director, IIC MAHER), Mr. K. Pandian (Sai Mirra Innopharm Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Andrew (HR, Apex Laboratories Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Swarnalakshmi (TCS, Pharmacovigilance), Mr. D. Bharathiraja (Spinco Biotech, Chennai), and Dr. Santhanakrishnan (Associate Dean – Accreditation, MAHER).
The induction program covered academic orientation sessions on the B. Pharm curriculum, student committees, and departmental introductions. Career-oriented talks on pharma entrepreneurship, industry etiquettes, job opportunities, and healthcare IT broadened students’ perspectives, while practical workshops on laboratory skills, safety, group dynamics, and entrepreneurship enhanced hands-on learning. Student welfare sessions included awareness on anti-ragging, placement opportunities, and personal growth, along with the inauguration of the Literary Club.
The valedictory session concluded with enthusiastic feedback from the students, marking the beginning of their professional journey in pharmacy. The SIP 2025–2026 successfully laid a strong foundation for academic excellence, industry interaction, and holistic development.
