Swachhata Hi Seva 2025: MCAS Students Lead with Cleanliness and Creativity

Meenakshi College of Arts and Science, MAHER, actively observed Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2025 as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), by organizing a series of impactful activities to instill the values of cleanliness, hygiene, and sustainability among students.

As part of the nationwide campaign “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath,” a campus-wide cleaning drive was held on 25th September 2025. Students enthusiastically took part in cleaning different parts of the campus, reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

On 26th September 2025, an “Art from Waste” competition was conducted under the theme “Waste to Wealth: Reduce, Reuse, Recreate.” Students displayed outstanding creativity by transforming discarded and recyclable materials into innovative, eco-friendly items. The competition served as an inspiring reminder of how sustainable practices can be integrated into daily life through creative expression.

Both events reflected the strong commitment of MCAS students to environmental stewardship and community well-being.
