MMCHRI Conducts CME on “Current Trends in the Management of Skin Disorders with AI”

The Department of Dermatology, Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCH&RI), Enathur, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on “Current Trends in the Management of Skin Disorders with AI.” The event aimed to explore the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in dermatological diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.

The program commenced with registration at 8:30 a.m., followed by a welcome address delivered by Prof. Dr. S. Kumaravel. The inaugural address was given by Prof. Dr. K.V. Rajasekhar, Dean, MMCH&RI, and the keynote address by Dr. K. Boopathi, Medical Superintendent, MMCH&RI.

The CME featured distinguished speakers including Dr. Manjula (Professor & HOD, KMC, Chennai), Dr. Monisha Madhumita (Assistant Professor, Saveetha University), and Dr. Aishwariya (Alumni, MMCH&RI). The sessions covered a range of contemporary topics such as PRP and growth factors in skin rejuvenation, advancements in diagnostic and imaging technologies, and the emerging applications of AI in dermatology, including prediction, prevention, and personalized treatment.

A panel discussion involving faculty members and residents further enriched the academic exchange, promoting active learning and critical insights into the integration of AI tools in clinical dermatology.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the organizing team, followed by lunch. The CME provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary dialogue, emphasizing the transformative potential of AI in enhancing dermatological practice and improving patient outcomes.
