The Medical Education Unit of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCHRI) organized a Cyber Security Awareness Programme on 16th October 2025 at the college auditorium.The session featured Tr. S. Prabakar, Inspector of Police, Cyber Crime Police Station, Kanchipuram District, as the Chief Guest, who delivered an insightful address on the growing challenges of cybercrime and the importance of digital safety. He emphasized the need for responsible online behavior, vigilance against cyber threats, and the role of students in spreading awareness about cyber safety within society.
The event witnessed the participation of over 800 students from the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences, who actively engaged in the session. The program served as an eye-opener, equipping students with practical knowledge to identify, prevent, and respond to cybercrime incidents responsibly.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion, reinforcing the message that cyber awareness and digital responsibility are essential for a safer online community.
