Ms. Mahmudaa K. N., MPT I Year, under the guidance of Dr. P. V. Hari Hara Subramanyan, Department of Physical Therapy in Pediatric and Neonatal Sciences, Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy, delivered an awareness talk on “Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Children” at Madha Public School (CBSE), Valasaravakkam, on 15th October 2025.
The session aimed to educate parents and children about the rising incidence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in the pediatric population. Ms. Mahmudaa explained the causes, early signs, and preventive strategies, emphasizing the importance of healthy diet, physical activity, and lifestyle modification.
The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation, with around 58 parents and children benefiting from the informative discussion. The program effectively promoted awareness on pediatric liver health, encouraging families to adopt preventive measures and healthier living practices.
