The Student Nurses’ Association (SNA) Election for the academic year 2025 was conducted on 06.12.2025 at Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing in a fair, transparent, and well-organized manner. Candidates actively participated in campaigning, reaching out to the student body and presenting their vision for the upcoming academic year.
The positions of Treasurer and Joint Treasurer were filled based on a personal interview and group discussion conducted by the SNA President, Dr. Victor Devasirdam, and the SNA Advisor, Mr. Dinesh Kumar R. The panel assessed the candidates’ communication skills, leadership qualities, and suitability for the respective roles before finalizing their selections. The President and Advisor also monitored and supervised the voting process, ensuring strict adherence to polling timings and maintaining complete transparency throughout.
A total of 390 students exercised their voting rights, reflecting strong student involvement and a commitment to democratic participation within the institution. Counting of votes was completed on the same day in the presence of contestants and student representatives, ensuring accountability and openness.
The final results of the SNA Election 2025 declared Mr. Vigneshwaran as the Vice President, Mr. Karventhan as the Secretary, and Mr. Nirmal Kumar as the Joint Secretary. Mr. Kevin Raj was selected as the Treasurer, while Mr. Arun Thomas and Mr. Ajilesh were appointed as Joint Treasurers through the interview and group discussion process.
The election concluded smoothly with active student participation and strict adherence to institutional norms, reinforcing the values of leadership, responsibility, and democratic engagement among the student community.
