Meenakshi College of Arts and Science, in association with ISO MAHER, organized a creative and eco-conscious event titled “Art out of Waste” on 20th December 2025. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness while encouraging students to channel their creativity through sustainable practices. Centered on the theme “Christmas Decorative Items,” the competition provided a vibrant platform for students to transform waste materials into innovative and meaningful decorative products.
Students showcased their talents by crafting attractive Christmas-themed items using recyclable and reusable materials, reflecting both artistic skill and environmental responsibility. The programme was further enriched by the presence of Mrs. Jennifer, an NGO volunteer from “CLEAN to GREEN,” who addressed the participants and appreciated their efforts in promoting sustainability through creativity.
Around 15 students actively participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. The best creations were recognized with medals for the first three positions, while all other participants were encouraged through participation certificates. The event was efficiently coordinated by Mrs. S. Malarvizhi and Mrs. R. Arivukkodi, ISO Coordinator – MCAS, and was conducted in the presence of Prof. Dr. P. Sagayaraj, Dean, MCAS, along with the Principals of Shift I and Shift II, Dr. V. Shanthi and Dr. N. Prabhavathy Devi.
The event successfully blended creativity, environmental consciousness, and festive spirit, inspiring students to think innovatively and responsibly for a sustainable future.
