The interns of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS) actively participated in the National Youth Day programme organized on 12th January 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The observance was planned with the objective of instilling the ideals of youth empowerment, discipline, patriotism, and social responsibility among future healthcare professionals.
As part of the programme, a 2 km run was conducted outside the campus, emphasizing the importance of physical fitness, endurance, and healthy lifestyle practices as integral components of personal and professional development. The enthusiastic participation of the interns reflected their commitment to holistic well-being and teamwork.
Following the run, a motivational session was held at the MCAHS classroom, where Vice Principal Prof. Dr. B. Durga delivered an inspiring address. The talk highlighted the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings in contemporary society and encouraged interns to cultivate self-confidence, leadership qualities, ethical values, and a strong sense of service toward the nation and community. A total of 73 interns participated actively in the programme, making the event both meaningful and impactful.
The observance served as a platform for young minds to reflect on their responsibilities as healthcare professionals and citizens, reinforcing the values of dedication, service, and nation building.
