Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy, MAHER successfully organized a comprehensive two-day hands-on workshop on Cupping Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Dry Needling on 5th and 6th January 2026 at the MCPT Block. The programme was conducted by Dr. P. Govindraj, an eminent expert in advanced physiotherapy interventions, with the objective of enhancing students’ clinical competence through experiential learning.
The workshop offered a balanced integration of theory and practice, enabling participants to gain in-depth understanding of contemporary therapeutic techniques used in pain management, muscle rehabilitation, and functional restoration. Through live demonstrations and guided practice sessions, students were exposed to the scientific principles, clinical applications, and safety considerations associated with each technique. The interactive format encouraged active participation, clarification of concepts, and hands-on skill development under expert supervision.
The programme significantly contributed to strengthening the clinical skills and professional confidence of the students while promoting evidence-based practice in physiotherapy.
