MCAHS Commemorates 150 Years of Vande Mataram with Patriotic Fervor

Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS) solemnly commemorated the completion of 150 years of Vande Mataram on 22nd January 2026, with deep reverence and patriotic spirit. The programme was organized to highlight the historical, cultural, and national importance of Vande Mataram as an enduring symbol of India’s freedom struggle and unity.

The event commenced with an informative introduction tracing the origin, evolution, and enduring relevance of the national song in India’s independence movement. This provided valuable historical context and sensitized the participants to the profound significance of the song in shaping national consciousness.

A key highlight of the observance was the mass singing of the full version of Vande Mataram, rendered collectively by students and faculty members in their own voices. The powerful and heartfelt rendition created an atmosphere charged with patriotism, unity, and emotional reverence for the nation.
