Prof. Deepa Sundareswaran, Principal of MCOT, was invited as the Chief Guest for the Workshop on “Training the Parents of Children with Special Needs” organized by Pebbles Therapy Centre on 21st February 2026.
The workshop focused on empowering parents with practical strategies, therapeutic insights, and structured guidance to support the developmental, behavioral, and functional needs of children with special needs. The programme emphasized the critical role of parental involvement in early intervention, rehabilitation planning, and sustained home-based care.
In her address, Prof. Deepa Sundareswaran highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and continuous parental education in improving outcomes for children with developmental challenges. She appreciated the initiative taken by Pebbles Therapy Centre in creating a supportive platform for parents, therapists, and caregivers to engage in meaningful dialogue and training.
