Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences Students Participate in National Conference on Antioxidant Strategies

Around 25 second-year students from Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences participated in the National Conference titled “Antioxidant Strategies: From Molecules to Medicine” held on 26th February 2026. The conference was organized by the Department of Biochemistry, Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam, Chennai.

The scientific sessions emphasized the role of antioxidants, spanning fundamental molecular mechanisms to translational and clinical applications, thereby promoting interdisciplinary learning and research-oriented thinking. As part of the academic proceedings, the students presented a paper on the theme “Oxidative Stress in Disease Pathophysiology,” actively contributing to scholarly discussions and scientific deliberations.

Faculty members also participated in the conference, mentoring the students and engaging in insightful academic interactions with peers from various institutions.

The event provided significant academic exposure, strengthened research competencies, and facilitated meaningful knowledge exchange, reinforcing the importance of evidence-based practice in allied health sciences.
