The Staff Welfare Committee of Meenakshi Medical College, MAHER University, organized a vibrant and memorable Pongal celebration that beautifully highlighted unity, cultural heritage, and staff well-being. True to its spirit, the event was “by the staff, for the staff,” witnessing enthusiastic participation from both teaching and non-teaching faculty members.

The celebrations commenced on an auspicious note with a special Pongal pooja conducted with devotion and reverence. The pooja was graciously performed by the Dean, along with the Vice Principal (Academics) and the Vice Principal (Student Welfare), with active participation from senior faculty members, adding dignity and spiritual significance to the occasion. The winners were recognized and honored with attractive prizes, fostering healthy competition and active involvement.

The cultural segment added charm and vibrancy to the celebration, featuring singing and dancing performances by faculty members and postgraduate students. A special performance by MBBS students was particularly well received, energizing the gathering and reinforcing the strong bond between students and faculty.

The celebration concluded on a cheerful and lively note with fun-filled games, including the much-anticipated musical chairs, leaving participants with smiles and fond memories.
