The Student Nurses Association (SNA) of Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing (AMCON) organized a vibrant Onam Celebration on 30th August 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, bringing together students and faculty in a colorful display of culture, tradition, and joy.
The celebration commenced with the traditional Thiruvathirai Kali performed by B.Sc. (N) students, setting a festive tone for the program. This was followed by a Welcome Address by Ms. G. Gowthami, VI Semester, B.Sc. (N), and a graceful Welcome Dance by Ms. Sathya, IV Year, B.Sc. (N).
The gathering was graced by Onam Special Wishes from Dr. Victor Devasirvadam, Principal, AMCON, who highlighted the cultural significance of Onam, followed by a Special Address by Mr. Dinesh Kumar. R, SNA Advisor, appreciating the efforts of the students and encouraging the preservation of traditions. A lively performance titled “Mahabali Invite” by B.Sc. (N) II Semester students symbolized the spirit of Onam, while the Kerala students of B.Sc. (N) captivated the audience with a melodious group singing performance.
Between 10:35 A.M. and 12:00 Noon, students from all batches showcased their talents through a series of cultural events, dances, songs, and traditional art forms, followed by fun-filled games that kept the audience engaged and entertained.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. S. Jothika, VI Semester, B.Sc. (N), expressing gratitude to the management, faculty, and participants for their enthusiastic support.
The Onam Celebration at AMCON was a memorable occasion that fostered cultural pride, unity, and togetherness, leaving lasting memories of joy and tradition.
