AMCON NSS Unit Conducts Drug Awareness Seminar at Sree Narayanaguru MHSS, Kanchipuram

As part of the Nationwide Drug Awareness Campaign, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing (AMCON) organized an impactful seminar at Sree Narayanaguru Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kanchipuram. The program aimed to educate young minds about the dangers of drug abuse, the importance of early intervention, and the need for a strong support system to build a healthy, drug-free society.

Mr. Dinesh Kumar R., NSS Program Officer, delivered an insightful session on “Early Warning Signs, Mental Health, and Support System”, emphasizing the role of awareness in prevention and motivating students to take responsibility for their own well-being. NSS Volunteers Mr. Gokulnath and Mr. Gokul Krishnan inspired the audience by stressing the importance of saying no to drugs and fostering a drug-free campus culture.

A special highlight of the event was the Drug Awareness Pledge, in which all students and teachers joined hands with the NSS team to commit to a life free from substance abuse. The seminar saw enthusiastic participation from 240 students and 10 teachers, who appreciated the informative and motivational initiative.
