AMCON Organizes Anti-Ragging Orientation Program to Foster a Safe and Respectful Campus

The Anti-Ragging Committee of Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing (AMCON) organized an Anti-Ragging Orientation Program on 27th September 2025 at the college premises, reaffirming its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and harmonious learning environment.

The program began with the soulful rendition of Tamil Thai Vazhthu, setting a dignified tone for the day. Dr. S. Victor Devasirvadam, Ph.D. (N), D.Sc. (N), Principal, AMCON, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing the institution’s unwavering dedication to maintaining a ragging-free campus. He highlighted the values of respect, dignity, and mutual care while reminding both students and faculty of their shared responsibility in upholding these principles.

The session was further enriched by Mr. Dinesh Kumar R., Nodal Officer, Anti-Ragging Committee, AMCON, who conducted an insightful orientation for the newly admitted B.Sc. (N) 2025–2026 batch. He explained the objectives, policies, and functions of the Anti-Ragging Committee and stressed the importance of awareness, vigilance, and adherence to ethical conduct. The interactive nature of the session allowed students to clarify their doubts, reinforcing their understanding of preventive measures in place.

As part of the program, all first-year B.Sc. (N) students solemnly filled and submitted their Anti-Ragging Affidavit forms, affirming their commitment to building a safe and respectful academic environment.

A total of 99 students actively participated, making the program both impactful and meaningful. The event concluded with a gracious Vote of Thanks, leaving the students with a strong message of accountability and unity in nurturing a positive campus culture.
