The Anti-Ragging Committee of Meenakshi College of Occupational Therapy (MCOT) successfully conducted a short awareness program on 12th August 2025, aimed at sensitizing students to the importance of fostering a safe and respectful campus environment. The event, coordinated by Ms. Leala Joyce, lasted for an hour and witnessed active participation and meaningful discussions among students.
The orientation revolved around the theme “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully”, emphasizing the value of peer support, inclusivity, and mutual respect. To creatively express their commitment to the cause, students organized an art and craft activity, showcasing innovative visuals and messages against ragging. This unique initiative not only engaged participants but also reinforced the spirit of solidarity and positivity within the campus.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks from the Anti-Ragging Committee, along with a reaffirmation of MCOT’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging, thereby strengthening the institution’s commitment to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all its students.
