The celebration featured a wide range of engaging on-stage and off-stage events such as Uri Adi, Rangoli, Musical Chair, Murukku Eating, Tug of War, Water Filling, Lucky Draw, and Arm Wrestling, encouraging energetic participation and camaraderie among students. A thought-provoking debate on the topic “பொங்கல்: இன்றைய இளைஞர்களுக்கு விழாவா! விடுமுறையா!” drew enthusiastic involvement from students across all batches, adding an intellectual dimension to the festivities.
Adding grace and cultural charm to the event, a traditional dance performance was presented, reflecting the rich heritage associated with Pongal. All batches actively contributed by preparing Batch Pongal, showcasing unity, teamwork, and collective celebration. Dr. Victor Devasirvadam, Principal, AMCON, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on the significance of Pongal and extended his festive wishes to the students and staff. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions, followed by the distribution of sweet Pongal and sugarcane to all participants.
