Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing successfully organized a Career Development Programme titled “Global Career Pathway for Nurses” on 29 December 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, AMCON, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon. The programme was aimed at equipping nursing students with a clear understanding of international career opportunities and guiding them towards informed professional choices.
The programme commenced with the rendition of Thamizh Thai Vazhthu, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Bala Abirami, B.Sc. (N) IV Year. The significance of organizing the career development programme was clearly outlined by Dr. Kowsalya, Dean – International Affairs, MAHER, who also introduced the Chief Guest of the day.
The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Jayakumar Srinivasan, Co-Founder of Galaxy Training Academy and Country Representative of UCO, France, who presented an insightful and motivating seminar on career guidance and the scope of nursing jobs abroad. He provided detailed information on global nursing opportunities, eligibility criteria for working in different countries, recruitment and visa processes, and the importance of special qualifications, overseas education, training, and qualifying examinations. The session encouraged students to broaden their professional outlook and consider international pathways to advance their careers.
The programme was highly interactive and informative, benefitting a total of 98 students who actively engaged with the speaker and gained valuable clarity on global nursing careers. The event concluded on a respectful note with the National Anthem, leaving participants inspired and better prepared to plan their future professional journeys.
