Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing, along with its dedicated NSS volunteers, actively participated in the Kuzhalosai Trust – THULIR Success Meet 2026, held on 4th January 2026 and organized by Mr. Rajesh Manikandan of Kuzhalosai Trust. The programme commenced on an auspicious note with the traditional Kuthuvilakku lighting ceremony, setting a meaningful and inspiring tone for the event.
During the session, members of Kuzhalosai Trust elaborated on the significance of palm seed collection and plantation, highlighting their remarkable achievement of planting over 12 lakh palm seeds. The discussion emphasized the vital role of palm trees in environmental protection, ecological balance, and sustainable living.
The NSS volunteers of Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing actively contributed to the programme through creative and expressive performances. A mime depicting the importance of tree planting and a nature-themed song rendered by Mr. Varaprasath effectively conveyed strong messages on environmental conservation. The event was further enriched by a graceful dance performance by members of Kuzhalosai Trust, adding cultural vibrancy to the gathering.
Participants enthusiastically shared their feedback and personal experiences related to environmental initiatives. In recognition of its consistent involvement and commitment to palm seeding activities, Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing was honored with an Appreciation Award. A total of 50 NSS volunteers and 2 faculty members took part in the programme, making it a meaningful learning and service-oriented experience.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks followed by the National Anthem, leaving participants inspired to continue their efforts towards environmental conservation and community service.
