The Internal Complaints Committee of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, MAHER, organized an awareness programme on 23rd July 2025 at 1:00 PM, focusing on essential support systems available for women and children in need.
The session featured Dr. T.S. Subashini, Associate Professor at SRM Dental College, as the guest speaker. She delivered an insightful presentation on the functions, accessibility, and importance of One Stop Centres (OSC), the Women Helpline (181), and the Child Helpline (1098). Her talk provided practical guidance on how individuals can access these services and emphasized the role these platforms play in ensuring safety and immediate support.
The event was attended by approximately 60 students, who actively engaged with the session and gained valuable awareness on the mechanisms in place to assist women and children facing distress or abuse.
