As part of NABH compliance and in alignment with efforts to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and emergency care, the Department of Emergency Medicine conducted a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training session for all staff nurses.
The training was facilitated by Dr. Kamala Kannan and Dr. Badhur Jaman, both certified instructors by the American Heart Association (AHA) in BLS and ACLS. The session aimed to enhance the preparedness of nursing staff in managing critical emergencies and life-threatening situations with confidence and competence.
Through hands-on demonstrations and simulation-based learning, participants were equipped with essential life-saving skills such as high-quality chest compressions, effective airway management, and use of defibrillators. The training also emphasized the importance of teamwork, communication, and timely intervention during cardiac and respiratory emergencies.
The session was well-received and appreciated by participants, reinforcing the importance of continuous upskilling in emergency care practices.
