Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing (AMCON) successfully organized a campus placement drive for the final-year B.Sc. (N) students on 11 December 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The recruitment team from MGM Cancer Institute, Chennai, visited the campus to conduct interviews and interact with prospective nursing graduates.
The program commenced with the rendition of Thamizh Thai Vazhthu, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. S. Victor Devasirvadam, Principal, AMCON. Dr. Prakash, Vice Principal, introduced the visiting team from MGM Cancer Institute, which included Mrs. Mary Henseli, Chief Nursing Officer. She provided an overview of the institute, the Nurse Residency Programme, and the structured recruitment process followed at MGM Hospital.
Mrs. Anju Chandran, Nurse Educator, briefed the students on working hours, leave policies, and the extensive training programs offered. Ms. Mini, Human Relations Officer, outlined the compensation structure and clarified key administrative aspects related to employment.
As part of the selection process, students underwent a written test administered via Google Forms, followed by an in-person oral interview conducted by the MGM team. The panel announced that the final selection list will be shared with the college on 15 December 2025.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Sunitha Devi, Tutor, AMCON. The placement drive provided an excellent opportunity for students to engage with a leading healthcare institution and explore promising career pathways in the nursing profession.
