Ms. Pooja, MPT I Year, under the guidance of Dr. P. V. Hari Hara Subramanyan, Department of Physical Therapy in Pediatric and Neonatal Sciences, Meenakshi College of Physiotherapy, delivered an awareness talk on “The Role of Pediatric Physiotherapists” for parents at Arvind Foundation, a special school, on 13th October 2025.
The session focused on the importance of physiotherapy in enhancing the motor and functional abilities of children with special needs. Ms. Pooja discussed various techniques and interventions used by pediatric physiotherapists to support children’s development and improve their quality of life.
The interactive session was well-received, with around 40 parents of special children actively participating and benefiting from the informative discussion. The talk successfully bridged the gap between healthcare professionals and parents, promoting awareness and understanding of pediatric physiotherapy in child rehabilitation and development.
