The Research & Development and Consultancy Committee of Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) successfully organized an expert talk on “Digital Health Entrepreneurship” on 28th January 2026, from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., at the ANR Auditorium, MMCHRI. The session aimed to create awareness about the growing opportunities in digital health innovation and entrepreneurial ventures within the healthcare sector.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. V. C. Punitha, Research Coordinator, MMCHRI. This was followed by the inaugural address delivered by Prof. Dr. K. V. Rajasekhar, Dean, MMCHRI, who highlighted the transformative role of digital technologies in healthcare delivery and encouraged students and faculty to integrate innovation, research, and entrepreneurship alongside academic and clinical excellence.
The resource person was introduced by Dr. Ruby Ramya, Member Coordinator, Innovation & Incubation, MMCHRI. The expert lecture was delivered by Mr. Siva Periasamy, Chief Technology Officer, Neurometric Limited, Ireland, who provided valuable insights into digital health entrepreneurship. His talk focused on emerging trends in digital health, innovation-driven business models, challenges in healthcare startups, and the importance of technology-led solutions in addressing real-world healthcare problems. The session was highly interactive, with active participation and insightful discussions from the audience.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Saravana Kumar S., Member Coordinator (IPR), MMCHRI. More than 650 participants from MMCHRI, AMCON, and MCAHS attended the session, making it a vibrant and enriching academic event.
The expert talk effectively inspired participants to explore innovation, research, and entrepreneurial opportunities in the evolving field of digital health.
