Founder’s Day 2025 Celebration at MMCHRI Honours Visionary Leadership

The Founder’s Day Celebration 2025 at Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCH&RI), organized by the ISO Committee, paid a heartfelt tribute to the Founder Chancellor, Late Thiru A. N. Radhakrishnan, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for the institution’s growth and success.

The program began with a vibrant inaugural dance performance by Phase III MBBS Part I students (XIDUCIANZ), followed by the Thamizhthai Vazhthu, homage to the Founder Chancellor, a moment of silence, and the lighting of the kuthuvilakku.

Dr. S. Saravanakumar, ISO Coordinator, delivered the Welcome Address, followed by the Inaugural and Keynote Address by Prof. Dr. K.V. Rajasekhar, Dean, MMCHRI. Senior faculty members offered tributes, reflecting on the Founder Chancellor’s values and contributions.

A symbolic “Pledge on Trees” was led by Prof. Dr. Eswari V, Vice Principal (Academics), reaffirming the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship. This was followed by an Awareness Speech by Prof. Dr. K. Boopathi, Medical Superintendent, emphasizing the relevance of the Founder’s vision in today’s healthcare and social landscape.

The celebration also included a Prize Distribution Ceremony recognizing student achievements in poetry, poster design, and art-from-waste competitions. Prizes were presented by Prof. Dr. Eswari V and Prof. Dr. Muthulakshmi R, Vice Principal (Student Affairs).

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Deepika, ISO Coordinator, followed by a sapling plantation ceremony held in memory of the Founder Chancellor—symbolizing growth, sustainability, and a living tribute to his enduring legacy.
