The second and third year students of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences enthusiastically participated in a General Health Check-up Camp conducted at Orikkai, Kanchipuram, on 20th November 2025. The camp was organized to deliver essential healthcare services to the local population while also fostering greater awareness on preventive health and wellness.
During the programme, students were actively involved in multiple service areas, including patient registration, general health assessment and providing health education to community members. Their contribution ensured smooth coordination and efficient delivery of services to attendees, reflecting a commendable level of professionalism and teamwork.
Participating in the camp provided the students with hands-on exposure to clinical responsibilities beyond the classroom. Through direct interaction with patients, they strengthened their diagnostic, problem-solving and communication skills while gaining a deeper understanding of community health challenges and the importance of preventive care.
This meaningful initiative allowed students to translate their learning into real-world impact while contributing positively to community health and wellbeing.
