IGNOVA’26 – A Grand Technical and Cultural Extravaganza at Meenakshi College of Arts and Science

On 18th February 2026, the Department of Computer Science and Applications, Meenakshi College of Arts and Science (MCAS), hosted IGNOVA’26, a vibrant blend of technical brilliance and creative expression. The event brought together nearly 300 enthusiastic participants from various constituent colleges across the MAHER campus, transforming the day into a celebration of innovation, intellect, and teamwork.

IGNOVA’26 featured ten dynamic competitions that seamlessly integrated technical acumen with non-technical flair. Technical events such as Paper Presentation, Quiz, and Puzzles tested analytical thinking and subject mastery, while non-technical competitions including Treasure Hunt, E-Sports, and Melody Match energized the participants with creativity, strategy, and collaboration. The enthusiastic participation and competitive spirit of the students contributed to the event’s resounding success.

A highlight of the programme was the guest lecture delivered by N. Naga Saranya, Associate Professor from SIMATS, at the MAHER Auditorium. The session offered valuable insights and inspired students to integrate academic learning with technological advancement.

The prize distribution ceremony was conducted in the esteemed presence of Dr. P. Sagayaraj, Dean, MCAS; Dr. V. Shanthi, Principal (Shift I); and Dr. N. Prabhavathi Devi, Principal (Shift II), who felicitated the winners and appreciated the organizing team. The event was efficiently coordinated by Mrs. R. Arivukkodi, Head I/C, along with faculty members and students of the Department of Computer Science and Applications.
