In celebration of the International Day of Yoga, the University Grants Commission (UGC) organized an insightful online lecture under the UGC Chetna Series, titled “Yoga for Health.” The lecture was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) K. Satya Lakshmi, Director of the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune.
The session focused on the deep connection between yoga and holistic health, exploring its physiological, psychological, and biochemical benefits. Dr. Satya Lakshmi emphasized how yoga acts as a comprehensive lifestyle approach—enhancing physical strength, mental clarity, emotional balance, and spiritual well-being.
The session highlighted yoga’s role in promoting inner peace, stress reduction, and overall well-being, making it a powerful tool for modern living.
All faculty members of Meenakshi College of Nursing (MCON) attended the session and found it highly beneficial in understanding and promoting yoga as a path to health and harmony.
