The Department of Radiodiagnosis, Meenakshi Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (MMCHRI) observed International Yoga Day with a Health Awareness Program on 21st June 2025. The event, held at the New Lecture Hall (250) aimed to promote awareness about the importance of yoga in fostering both physical and mental well-being.
The program began with Yogasana demonstrations by the staff of the Radiodiagnosis Department, followed by engaging performances by students, staff, and faculty members from MMCHRI, showcasing various yoga practices and their benefits.
Dr. P. Karthika, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Yoga Sciences and Therapy (FYST), served as the Chief Guest and delivered an insightful address on the relevance of yoga asanas in modern-day health practices, emphasizing their therapeutic value in everyday life.
The event was well-received and effectively highlighted the importance of integrating yoga into daily routines to support a holistic approach to health and well-being.
