The Meenakshi College of Nursing successfully conducted a Mass Deworming Programme for its students as part of a health initiative to combat intestinal worm infections among children and adolescents. Albendazole tablets were distributed to students and faculty during the programme.
The event commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Fabiola M. Dhanaraj, Principal, who also led the distribution of the tablets. She emphasized the importance of deworming as a preventive measure to improve health, enhance concentration, and promote overall well-being in young individuals.
This initiative highlighted the college’s commitment to public health awareness and preventive healthcare. By encouraging collective responsibility, the programme reinforced the message that working together can significantly reduce the burden of intestinal worms and ensure a healthier future for the younger generation.
