MCAHS Celebrates Constitution Day with Patriotism and a Strong Commitment to Democratic Values

Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS) celebrated Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) on 26th November 2025 with great enthusiasm, honouring the spirit of the Indian Constitution and paying tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the nation’s governing framework. The event brought together students and faculty in a meaningful observance that highlighted the evolution, significance, and guiding principles of the Constitution.

The program began with an insightful introduction on the history and importance of the Constitution, setting the tone for a reflective and inspiring celebration. This was followed by the collective reading of the Preamble, through which participants reaffirmed their dedication to the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Adding a unique dimension to the event, the Preamble was also read in multiple Indian languages, symbolizing unity in diversity and reinforcing commitment to constitutional values across linguistic boundaries.

To further deepen student engagement, various activities such as reading the Preamble, multilingual participation, and an online quiz on constitutional rights and democratic principles were organized. These activities encouraged students to broaden their understanding of the Constitution and reflect on their duties as responsible citizens.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of the organizing committee, faculty members, and enthusiastic student participants. A total of 134 first-year students and faculty members benefited from the program, which served as an inspiring reminder of the responsibilities that come with citizenship and the importance of contributing positively to the nation’s democratic fabric.
