Interns from the Cardiovascular Technology (CVT), Anaesthesia Technology (AT), Physician Assistant (PA), and Respiratory Therapy (RT) programmes of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), MAHER, actively participated in a Medical Camp organized by Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) on 11th July 2026 at Sirunaiperugal Village. The outreach programme was conducted to provide essential healthcare services and promote awareness of preventive healthcare practices among the rural population.
Under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals, the interns assisted in patient registration, recording vital signs, supporting clinical examinations, and educating beneficiaries on healthy lifestyle practices. Their active participation contributed to the efficient delivery of healthcare services while providing them with meaningful opportunities to interact with patients in a community setting.
The programme offered valuable hands-on clinical exposure, enabling students to strengthen their practical knowledge, communication skills, teamwork, and understanding of rural healthcare delivery.
The medical camp served as an enriching experiential learning opportunity, reinforcing the importance of community outreach, preventive healthcare, and compassionate service in the professional development of future allied health practitioners.
