Interns of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), MAHER, actively participated in a Medical Camp conducted on 13th June 2026 at Sunguvarchatram, Chennai, organized by Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) in collaboration with Indian Yamaha Motors. The programme provided valuable opportunities for students to gain practical clinical exposure while contributing to community healthcare services.
Interns from the Department of Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) and Department of Anaesthesia Technology (AT) actively assisted in health screening activities, including blood pressure monitoring and blood sugar testing. Under the supervision of healthcare professionals, the students participated in patient screening, recording vital parameters, and ensuring the smooth coordination of the camp.
The outreach programme significantly enhanced the interns’ practical skills, communication abilities, teamwork, and understanding of community-based healthcare delivery. The real-time clinical experience strengthened their confidence in handling patient care responsibilities while reinforcing the importance of preventive healthcare and community service.
