The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), MAHER, organised a signature campaign on 13 October 2026 to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child. The initiative focused on promoting girls’ empowerment, gender equality, safety and the prevention of harassment and discrimination.
The programme was conducted in the presence of Principal Prof. Dr. V. Ramnath and Prof. Dr. B. Durga, Presiding Officer, ICC, MCAHS, who encouraged students to uphold gender equality, mutual respect and the empowerment of girls and women. As part of the campaign, second-year girl students participated by placing coloured ribbons on the ICC campaign board, symbolising unity, support and solidarity. The red ribbon represented speaking up against harassment and discrimination, blue symbolised the commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment, and purple represented the encouragement and empowerment of girls and women. Students actively took the pledge and attached their ribbons to the campaign display.
