Day 4 of the Student Induction Programme (SIP) 2026 at Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences (MCAHS), held on 3 September 2026, focused on professional development, student support, mentorship, and holistic growth.
The day commenced with a session on “Interprofessional Teamwork in Healthcare: Working Together for Better Patient Outcome” by Ms. Haripriya, Assistant Professor, Critical Care Technology, SRM College of Allied Health Sciences, who highlighted the importance of effective teamwork and collaboration in delivering quality patient care.
This was followed by the “Meet the Mentors” session conducted by Prof. Dr. B. Durga, Vice Principal (Admin), MCAHS, which familiarised students with the departments, faculty members, and mentoring system. Prof. Dr. Ponmurugan, Dean, Doctoral Studies & IPR, MAHER, delivered an invited session on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), creating awareness about the significance of intellectual property in academics and research.
The afternoon sessions focused on the Student Grievance Redressal Committee, Placement Cell, and Sports Activities, coordinated by Prof. Dr. B. Durga, Ms. Yuvapriya, and Mr. Eswar, respectively. These sessions provided students with valuable insights into institutional support systems, career opportunities, and extracurricular activities.
