Meenakshi College of Arts and Science (MCAS), MAHER, organised the Student Council Investiture Ceremony on 12 August 2026 from 12.00 p.m. to 1.00 p.m. at the MAHER Auditorium, marking an important milestone in the journey of the newly elected student leaders.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Senthamarai Kannan, Former ADGP, Government of Tamil Nadu, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised the importance of active participation in co-curricular and sports activities in developing leadership qualities, fostering team spirit, and building confidence among students. He also encouraged the newly elected student leaders to serve as an effective bridge between the academic community and the university management.
The highlight of the programme was the Investiture Ceremony, during which the newly elected Student Council members were formally conferred with their badges and sashes. The student leaders also took an oath to uphold the values of the institution and discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, integrity, and dedication. The ceremony symbolised their transition into positions of responsibility and reinforced the importance of accountable and collaborative leadership.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a member of the Student Council. The event was coordinated by the Faculty Advisory Team for the MAHER–MCAS Student Council.
The ceremony inspired students to embrace leadership with confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and a strong commitment to contributing positively to their academic community.
