Meenakshi College of Occupational Therapy (MCOT), MAHER, celebrated World Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 in accordance with UGC guidelines, with around 200 UG and PG students and five faculty members actively participating in the observance. The event aimed to reinforce the core values and principles enshrined in the Constitution of India and to deepen civic awareness among the academic community.
The celebration began with the collective reading of the Preamble at 11:00 AM within the college premises, where students and faculty reaffirmed their commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Adding further significance to the observance, students also read the Preamble in multiple Indian languages using the platforms “constitution75.com” and “MyGov.in,” promoting linguistic inclusivity and national unity.
To strengthen constitutional literacy, participants took part in an online quiz on MyGov.in, which tested their understanding of constitutional democracy, rights, and responsibilities. The enthusiastic engagement reflected the students’ eagerness to deepen their knowledge of the nation’s foundational document.
Overall, the event proved to be meaningful and impactful, successfully enhancing constitutional awareness and fostering a sense of civic responsibility among the MCOT community.
