MCOT Conducts Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Pledge Campaign

Meenakshi College of Occupational Therapy (MCOT), MAHER, organized the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Pledge Campaign on 20th January 2026 at its campus, with the objective of promoting a drug-free lifestyle and reinforcing social responsibility among future healthcare professionals. The programme witnessed the active participation of 237 students and 8 faculty members, reflecting strong collective commitment toward the national mission.

The event commenced with a brief welcome address emphasizing the critical importance of substance abuse prevention and the pivotal role of students as responsible healthcare professionals in guiding society toward healthy living. The objectives and significance of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan were clearly explained, creating awareness about the health, social, and professional consequences of drug abuse.

As a key highlight of the programme, students and faculty members together took the Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to remain free from substance abuse and to actively spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol within the community.

The campaign concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from all attendees, strengthening awareness, responsibility, and collective resolve to contribute toward building a healthier and substance-free society.
