Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences Celebrates 150 Years of Vande Mataram

Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences, MAHER (Deemed to be University), proudly celebrated the 150th anniversary of the immortal song Vande Mataram on 7th November 2025. The event commenced with an invocation and welcome address, followed by inspiring speeches by the Principal and Vice Principal on the enduring legacy of the song that ignited unity and patriotism during India’s freedom struggle.

Written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1875, Vande Mataram remains a timeless symbol of India’s strength, unity, and devotion. As part of the celebration, 133 students and faculty members participated in a mass singing of Vande Mataram, paying tribute to the spirit of national pride and solidarity.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the values of unity, courage, and compassion — echoing the eternal sentiment,
“Vande Mataram! — I bow to thee, Mother.”
