The NSS Unit of Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences, Kancheepuram, observed World Water Day on 23rd March 2026 by organizing an on-campus awareness programme focused on the importance of water conservation.
As part of the initiative, students formed a creative “Save Water” human chain, symbolizing unity and collectively advocating for sustainable water usage. The activity served as a powerful visual message, reinforcing the need to preserve this vital natural resource.
The programme also included a water conservation pledge, led by the Vice Principal, Prof. Dr. B. Durga, who encouraged students to take an active role in protecting the environment and adopting responsible practices in their daily lives.
The event effectively raised awareness about water conservation and inspired students to think critically about their role in safeguarding natural resources. This field engagement enhanced their sense of responsibility, teamwork, and awareness of environmental sustainability, contributing to their overall development as socially conscious individuals.
