II Year students of the Department of Optometry, Meenakshi College of Allied Health Sciences, along with faculty member Ms. Mahalakshmi D M, Assistant Professor, actively participated in the World Optometry Day Conference organized by SRM University, Kattankulathur, on 9th April 2026.
The conference featured a series of insightful scientific sessions focusing on clinical optometry practices, case-based discussions, and recent advancements in eye care and vision science. The sessions provided participants with valuable exposure to contemporary developments and evidence-based approaches in optometry.
Students and faculty demonstrated keen interest and actively engaged in the discussions, gaining academic insights from experienced professionals and experts in the field.
All participants were awarded Certificates of Appreciation in recognition of their enthusiastic involvement.
This academic engagement enhanced students’ clinical knowledge, analytical skills, and awareness of emerging trends in optometry, strengthening their preparedness for professional practice.
